Don’t touch your existing link of ‘link to cat photos’ , instead Just change your allready exiting paragraph of ‘see more cat photos in our gallery’ so that your text ‘cat photos’ from inside it is surrounded by a tags and will turn into a link.

That way only the text ‘cat photos’ from in your paragraph will turn into a link.
Ex of paragraph with link inside:

<p>This is a paragraph with a <a href="">LINK</a>inside</p>

Now only the text link will become a link. Do this with your text ‘cat photos’ from withen your paragraph.
