Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 12

Tell us what’s happening:

I’ve been trying to complete step 12 but I’m having some trouble with it.

That’s my code there, but I’m unsure just what’s wrong with it? The help tip says that "The link’s href value should be the freecatphoto link but it says I’ve omitted something or have a typo? Not sure what’s up. I’ve reset it a couple times, but I get the same result.

Your code so far

<html>
  <body>
    <main>
      <h1>CatPhotoApp</h1>
      <h2>Cat Photos</h2>
      <!-- TODO: Add link to cat photos -->

<!-- User Editable Region -->

      <p>See more <a href="cat photos"></a> in our gallery.</p>
      <a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com"></a> link to cat pictures

<!-- User Editable Region -->

      <img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">
    </main>
  </body>
</html>

Welcome to the forum @Pocketnomicon

Then set the href attribute to https://freecatphotoapp.com

You placed the href attribute value around the word cat photos not the link mentioned in the instructions.

Please change cat photos to the web site link.
Then add the words cat photos between the anchor tags.

Happy coding

Okay… maybe I missed something then? I don’t remember being taught how to make a word a link without the href attribute. I could be wrong? Again, I may have missed something, but I’m unsure.

you still need an href attribute, but you also need to have the opening anchor tag and the closing anchor tag in the correct position
