Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 12

This step always confuses most users, you’re not alone. Let’s break your code down.
You want to turn only the text cat photos into a link, and how do we do that? By surrounding the text with an anchor element.

You have this text See more cat photos in our gallery. surrounded by the anchor element, instead of this text cat photos

thank you but after i put cat photos in says: After nesting the anchor (a ) element, the only p element content visible in the browser should be See more cat photos in our gallery. Double check the text, spacing, or punctuation of both the p and nested anchor element. idk where to put ‘see more cat photos in out gallery’

Let me see the code.

<p><a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">cat photos</a>

opps tbh idk how to show you

I have edited your reply to include your code. To add your code, before you paste your code, add three backticks.

Back to your problem, you nested the text, but deleted the rest of the text portion, you shouldn’t have done that.

you see i understand but i dont understand at the same time. should i just reset it all do it from the start?

Yes. Reset the lesson, no progress will be lost.

I created a post to describe a similar problem and how to solve it here:
