hi, i’m completely new to coding/programming so this might sound stupid but… what am i doing wrong? i’ve tried everything and can’t seem to figure out what i’m doing wrong. i’m stuck on turning the image into a link.

You change the img element. Do not do this. You should only add an opening <a ....> and a closing </a>, with the img element in between those two tags.
