Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 14

I don’t understand how to add a target attribute to the (a) element’s opening tag so that the link opens in a new tag…what does this even mean? I don’t know what I’m doing.

Your code so far

      <h2>Cat Photos</h2>
      <!-- TODO: Add link to cat photos -->

<!-- User Editable Region -->

      <p>See more <a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com">cat photos</a> in our gallery.</p> </_blank>

<!-- User Editable Region -->

      <img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg" alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back.">

Challenge: Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 14

Link to the challenge:

<a is the element and it has an
href attribute with the value "https://freecatphotoapp.com"
add another attribute in there called target= and it’s value is "_blank"

This opens the link in a new tab. Why did they call it _blank and not newtab? It’s a mystery!
