Challenge: Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 14

Link to the challenge:

You add the target attribute to the opening a tag just like you added the href attribute to the opening a tag, using the format:

name="value"

I would restart the step to get the original HTML back and then try again.

Thanks. I’m still not getting it.

See the code below. Where exactly does (_blank) go?

To display your code in here you need to wrap it in triple back ticks. On a line by itself type three back ticks. Then on the first line below the three back ticks paste in your code. Then below your code on a new line type three more back ticks. The back tick on my keyboard is in the upper left just above the Tab key and below the Esc key. You may also be able to use Ctrl+e to automatically give you the triple back ticks while you are typing in the this editor and the cursor is on a line by itself. Alternatively, with the cursor on a line by itself, you can use the </> button above the editor to add the triple back ticks.

The “_blank” is the value for the target attribute. Using the format for attributes:

name="value"

Then you would replace “value” with “_blank” and since the name of the attribute is target then you would replace name with target.

An attribute goes on the opening tag. So you would add this to the opening a tag, after the href attribute/value.

Thank you. This worked
