Tell us what’s happening:

I’m sorry, this might be absolutely easy and dumb but I can’t figure it out. I don’t understand where the blank value is supposed to go on the code.

Your code so far

<html>
  <body>
    <main>
      <h1>CatPhotoApp</h1>
      <h2>Cat Photos</h2>
      <!-- TODO: Add link to cat photos -->

<!-- User Editable Region -->

Challenge Information:

Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 14

Here is the error message that appears when you submit your code:

Your anchor (a) element does not have a target attribute. Check that there is a space after the opening tag’s name and/or there are spaces before all attribute names.

What you are missing is the first sentence which says that you need to add the target attribute to your <a> element.

The challenge is to use the value of _blank to assign it to the target attribute.
So you need to add that attribute and assign to it the required value.

And the way to add an attribute to an element is to add it in the opening tag like this:

<p id="info">SOME INFO</p>

This is a <p> element with id attribute equals to info.
