a href="https://freecatphotoapp.com" >img src="https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg" <alt="A cute orange cat lying on its back."> </a>

I dont see a < for the opening anchor tag.
You can get rid the space between the " and >
add a space right before the img starts
remove the space in front of the </a>

Hello! There should not be separate < alt >. Just the opening before img and the closing after the back." Your anchors should be on the outside of the complete img including the alt.

Example: < opening anchor> < img and attribute > < closing anchor >
No spaces between.

<img src=“https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/relaxing-cat.jpg”<alt=“A cute orange cat lying on its back.”> got it.
