why can’t my code pass, I don’t see any issue yet the system insists on the lack of a closing tag that exists. Can someone tell me what I might be doing wrong…

Hello @veron-kreisy your code is right, but you have two not needed anchor element right after your p element try deleting them and run your code.
I hope this helps ,keep it up.

You have a lot of additional code that shouldn’t be there, maybe you lost track of things when it went outside the editable area. I suggest you reset the step, and change only the code in the highlighted lines
