I am failing to add a new image with an src value as well as attribute.

Somewhere in your src you have a typo. I can not find it, but when I deleted your link and copied an pasted the link in the instruction the code passed.
So delete your link, copy and paste the link in the instruction inbetween the quotation marks and check if it passes.

Ok.
You should follow the instruction: Create image tag, add src and alt attributes. Then, you’ll add the text before closing the image tag.
