it is asking to nest an img element with the src attribute: https://cdn.freecodecamp.org/curriculum/cat-photo-app/cats.jpg .

I have done this but still the image is not appearing , where is the problem?

There should not be a dot (period) at the end of the URL.

Most URLs do not end with dots, so if you have one at the end of the URL and it is not passing, odds are that you need to get rid of it.

Like @bbsmooth explained the dot is actually a period mark to end the sentence and is not part of the URL.
