There should not be a period (or dot) at the end of the comment text. The only text in the comment should be

Edited: I see now that the system is automatically adding the <!-- User Editable Region --> comments, so they are not actually part of your code. So if you saw this before I edited it then you can ignore what I wrote earlier about those comments. You just need to remove the period.
