I have absolutely no clue where to put the “required” function within the input element… been at it for 25 min… maybe i’m just not comprehending the directions correctly.

The required attribute doesn’t need the usual syntax. Just put the word ‘required’ into the input tag next to the other attributes, separating it from the others with a space.
