I truly dont understand what im doing wrong. im still pretty new to coding this is only my second day

Usually the steps show a hint? What does the hint say and what do you think might be wrong?

hint says - Your button element’s text should be Submit . You have either omitted the text or have a typo.

i aslo input it as <button text= "submit"> </button>. and it was wrong

I’ve edited your code for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

You can also use the “preformatted text” tool in the editor (</>) to add backticks around text.

the ‘text’ of an element is not the text attribute which you are making.
The ‘text’ is the text you write in between the opening and the closing tags.
eg.
<p>This is the text of the paragraph element</p>

That makes alot of sense but when i put “submit” it still gives me the same hint

I figured it out i have to capitalize the S and dont put any quotations around submit . i appreaciate your help and feed back alot
