You have one too many > symbols in each input.

<input id="indoor" type="radio"> name="indoor-outdoor">

See the extra > symbol after type="radio"?

Makes sense. I tried that and it worked! Can you explain why the extra tag wasn’t needed? The concept confuses me

If you kept the > after the type attribute your input would end right there, and the name would no longer be considered a part of that input. You want the > to come after everything at the end of the input. That way everything in between < and > is a part of that input. There should only be one of each < and >

The opening and closing angled brackets tell the browser where the elements code is.

So any attributes after a closing bracket won’t be considered as part an elements code, and will instead display in the browser.

Happy coding
