I’ve edited your code for readability. When you enter a code block into a forum post, please precede it with a separate line of three backticks and follow it with a separate line of three backticks to make it easier to read.

at this point, the input element is inside or nested within the legend element.

I believe they wanted it after the legend element.
(move the code so it is on the line below the closing tag for legend)
