Previously I tried input:checked
that didnt work.

It said not to include in the second radio button
Does that mean the checked function should not be included in the second?

I swapped it because I was reading in w3 that you could place checked at the end.

Just trying to figure out the pattern

The only things that should be checked is the very first radio button, and the very first checkbox. Just those two

You should add the checked attribute only to the elements that need to be selected by default.

Maybe this will help you understand the checked attribute a little bit better:

When you add the checked attribute to both radio buttons, since only one radio button can be selected at a time, when the second radio button gets checked, the first one becomes unchecked. Leaving only the second radio button selected by default.

With checkboxes, that’s a bit different. More than one checkbox can be selected at a time, so if you add the checked attribute to two checkboxes, both of them will be selected by default.
