Challenge: Learn HTML by Building a Cat Photo App - Step 63

Link to the challenge:

  1. the hint should be telling you that you have the wrong text inside of your anchor tag. Only part of the text inside of the paragraph should become a link

  2. You don’t have a closing anchor tag

This question comes up a lot on the forum actually.

So your code right now probably shows up in the preview area like so:

While the exercise is asking you to make the last word of the copyright sentence into a link which would look like this

No Copyright - freeCodeCamp.org

Notice how the last word turned blue? That is the effect we want as it has become a link now.

To do this in the code, create a well-formed anchor element with the src attribute set to the given URL. Then carefully place the start tag only on the immediate left of the word above (freeCodeCamp.org). Then again carefully place an anchor closing tag to the right of that same word. This will tell the browser that you want that word to be treated as a link.

In case this also helps, recall that an anchor tag looks like this:

<a href=“the link”>Yes, I am the link!</a>

Thank You So Much, this helped a lot.
