It keeps on saying that my anchor element should be nested in the p element and that I should make sure to have an opening and closing tag even though i do have it.

You have deleted the text that the anchor element is meant to pertain to - it should surround the text ‘freeCodeCamp.org’.

I realised I forgot to close off the link with ". When I take out the https://www. section, it says that “Your anchor (a ) element should have an href attribute with the value https://www.freecodecamp.org . You may have omitted the attribute/value, or have a typo.”

You’re correct - it needs to end with a " . But also you have deleted the text that should be a hyperlink - currently the anchor element is surrounding nothing. Try resetting to restore the original contents of the p element, and make freeCodeCamp.org the text surrounded by the anchor.

I tried it and it still says the same thing

Where is the text that the challenge tells you to turn into a link? You are missing that
