i dont understand what is wrong i keep geting the hint box that your html element should have a lang attribute with the value of en you may have omitted the attribute/value. or have a typo

First you need to move the html closing tag so it is on the last line of the index.html file (not the first)

Then you need to erase the angled bracket to the left of the word lang. (lang is an attribute, not an element)

The closing html tag </html> has to go on the last line of the index.html file. (Not on the first line)

i got ride of the html closing tag and got ride of the angled bracket to the left of the word lang but the same thing still happens is there anything else thanks

you should not have deleted the </html>
You should have moved it to the last line of the file.
