Learn HTML Forms by Building a Registration Form - Step 17

Tell us what’s happening:
So this is very interesting. Cause I’ve looked up answers on the forums already, but even if I try to copy-paste the “correct” code it doesn’t authenticate. It just keeps saying: “Your first input element should be after the label text, and add a space after the colon.”
I’ve tried putting it on different lines, but nothing seems to work.
Is it just bugged?

Thanks!

Challenge: Learn HTML Forms by Building a Registration Form - Step 17

Link to the challenge:

I think it may be bugged. Cause when I jump forward to Step 18 and copy paste that code it still doesn’t work.

Thanks!

Adding the id attributes the instructions didn’t ask for is confusing the tests.

I only did that because when i didn’t use id’s it still was not authenticating.

An old version of this step required the ids. When I copy the old answer instead of writing my own answer, the tests fail. When I write my own answer without the ids, the tests pass.

so why then does this code not pass?

<!-- file: index.html -->
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html lang="en">
  <head>
    <meta charset="UTF-8">
    <title>Registration Form</title>
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="styles.css" />
  </head>
  <body>
    <h1>Registration Form</h1>
    <p>Please fill out this form with the required information</p>
    <form method="post" action='https://register-demo.freecodecamp.org'>

<!-- User Editable Region -->

      <fieldset>
        <label>Enter Your First Name: <input /></label>
        <label>Enter Your Last Name: <input /></label>
        <label>Enter Your Email: <input /></label>
        <label>Create a New Password: <input /></label>
      </fieldset>

<!-- User Editable Region -->

      <fieldset></fieldset>
      <fieldset></fieldset>
    </form>
  </body>
</html>

It passes fine for me.
