Challenge Information:

Learn HTML Forms by Building a Registration Form - Step 31

The challenge asking you to link the above text. Place your anchor tags around that text.

@Sam72

Hi @hasanzaib1389 thanks for getting back. is it right that the (a) element are self closing. I’ve tried to place the terms and conditions like this but still no luck. do they need to be inside the label element

Yes! Your label closing tag should geos after your anchor closing tag. And post your update code.
@Sam72

I accept the terms and conditions
<a terms and conditions href=“freeCodeCamp's Terms of Service

Add your code with three ``` back ticks before and after your code in a separate line.

sorry I tried to copy what I have now. not sure how to do it though

You need your text between opening and closing anchor tags .

Example

<label><input> I am linking <a>that text</a></label>

@Sam72

sorry @hasanzaib1389 ive never seen the before what part of the code does this go either side of

@hasanzaib1389 how do I show you my code now

Type in replay, three ``` back ticks then paste your code in a separate line, then again type, three back ticks in a separate line.
@Sam72

replay,```
href=“freeCodeCamp's Terms of Service
terms and conditions

(```)

Your code goes here

(```)

Don’t include the () parentheses.

    <label for="terms-and-conditions"><input id="terms-and-conditions" type="checkbox" required />href="https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/terms-of-service/"<a> terms and conditions</a ></label>

Your href attribute and value should geos within <a> tag. And you deleted some of your label text before opening <a> tag.

<label for="terms-and-conditions" ><input id="terms-and-conditions" type="checkbox" required /><a terms and conditions> href="https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/terms-of-service/"</a></label>

@hasanzaib1389 I still need to add I accept the terms and conditions text to the label following the third fieldset. which ive tried so many times. this has been the hardest one ive came across

Don’t give up. Post your modified code here.

<label for="terms-and-conditions" > <input id="terms-and-conditions" type="checkbox" required  /><a terms and conditions> href="https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/terms-of-service/"</a></label>
