there fore how i can give the input expecting a first name a name attribute. PS I would have chosen first-name?

do you see how the different attributes like id and type are written?
Does your new name attribute look the same as the others?
(it should have an equal sign after the word name and it should have a value in quotes)

Once you have written the name attribute correctly, you must do the same for all the other fields in the form that the user can change or write into (except for the radio buttons).
