Challenge: Learn HTML Forms by Building a Registration Form - Step 49

Link to the challenge:

Please talk about how you got stuck figuring out what the error message means

That’s the instruction…

The error message is…
You should use a comma separated element selector to select the input, textarea, and select elements.

Yes. I can read that. That doesn’t tell me how you got stuck figuring out what the error message means though.

I did what it wanted…

Did you? You used input, textarea, and select?

Didn’t include “and” just commas

I would stop and think about why I might have asked you that specific question instead of assuming your code is perfectly correct. I might have a good reason why I asked.

Sooo… what’s the solution?

Nope. We don’t do that here. Having the answer is absolutely not the point of the Steps. The point of the Steps is for you to practice figuring out code.

So… Why would I specifically ask if you used input, textarea, and select?

Yes I did… I get you now

What’s wrong with the code?

I would stop and answer this question…

Someone help I don’t understand this person!!!

I am trying to help. If you answer my question, it will help you find the problem in your code.

Me just handing you the “fix” hurts your ability to work independently.

So… Why would I specifically ask if you used input, textarea, and select?

Yes I did use input, text-area and select…

No, you did not.

I know you did not, which is why I am asking you to check if you used input, textarea, and select.

Oh Shiit… thanks a lot :clap:t4:
