First, don’t add a second .cat-head rule set. Use the one that is already there.

Second:

background:linear-gradient(#5e5e5e 85%) #45454f(100%)

This is not quite how you define a linear-gradient. There should only be one pair of parentheses wrapping all of the colors/percentages. You separate each color/percentage combo with a comma.
