Link to the challenge:

error code shows
You should have 30 div elements within your #triangles element.

What is your question about that error message. Do you know what a div is? Do you know which element is the #triangles element?

more or less yes I know what a div is. I need to understand what is wrong with my code

It looks like you deleted code outside of the lines that are highlighted for editing.

I am not getting it. I am stuck here.

Try to click restart and try the step again to restore the code to its initial state and work from a clean version.

that isn’t working either. could be the way i am copy pasting it.
