Tell us what’s happening:
Hello, I am having an issue with this question about “-=” operator and I am just not getting it, right now what I think is happening is correct, I think I have to change the end of the for loop from where the adding and subtraction happens. I have changed it to be “i–” to see if that would work and just “i -=1” but it is not correct, could anyone be able to drop a hint to aid me with this but not give the answer? Would greatly appreciated. When I get it right I will need to research it.
Your code so far
const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];
function padRow(rowNumber, rowCount) {
return " ".repeat(rowCount - rowNumber) + character.repeat(2 * rowNumber - 1) + " ".repeat(rowCount - rowNumber);
}
// TODO: use a different type of loop
/*for (let i = 1; i <= count; i++) {
rows.push(padRow(i, count));
}*/
/*while (rows.length < count) {
rows.push(padRow(rows.length + 1, count));
}*/
// User Editable Region
for (let i = count; i < 0;i = i -= 1) {
rows.push(padRow(i, count));
}
// User Editable Region
let result = ""
for (const row of rows) {
result = result + "\n" + row;
}
console.log(result);
