Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 11

Tell us what’s happening:

I have redone this a few different times now. I am confused if i should be altering the whole string like i did, or do i follow the the example and have both of the character and the secondCharacter assignments. Do i need to restate the character variable of ‘Hello’?

Your code so far

let character = 'Hello';
console.log(character);
character = "World";
let secondCharacter;

// User Editable Region

secondCharacter = "World";

// User Editable Region

console.log(secondCharacter);

Hi and welcome to the forum.

For this exercise, try doing the exact thing the step asked for. That is, put the word character on the right of the equal sign. This will tell the computer that the value of character is to be given to the secondCharacter variable.

So delete “World” and write character in its place
