Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 111

Tell us what’s happening:

I’m not understanding how to use unshift on my loop for padRow

Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

function padRow(rowNumber, rowCount) {
  return " ".repeat(rowCount - rowNumber) + character.repeat(2 * rowNumber - 1) + " ".repeat(rowCount - rowNumber);
}

// TODO: use a different type of loop

// User Editable Region

for (let i = 1; i <= count; i++) {
  rows.unshift(padRow.(i, count));
  console.log(unshift);
}

// User Editable Region

/*while (rows.length < count) {
  rows.push(padRow(rows.length + 1, count));
}*/

/*for (let i = count; i > 0; i--) {
  rows.push(padRow(i, count));
}*/

let result = ""

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + "\n" + row;
}

console.log(result);

please click the reset button to restore the original code.

Then find the call to push. This call to push adds things to the end of the array.
Erase this word push and replace it with unshift. Notice how the preview changes.
