Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 43

Tell us what’s happening:

  1. You should concatenate your row variable to your result variable.
  2. You should concatenate the \n escape sequence to your row variable.
  3. You should assign the entire concatenation back to your result variable.

Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

for (let i = 0; i < count; i = i + 1) {
  rows.push(i);
}

let result = ""

// User Editable Region

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + "\n"+ row;

// User Editable Region

console.log(result);

when you ask for help it would be great if you could explain in your own words what issue you are having. What do you find confusing of the failed tests?

i dont understand what im doing wrong i tried to enter a consol.log and nothing works. so im very confused

you have the new line between them, so you are not concatenating the two variables together

read again the instructions where it say " Use a second addition operator to append a new line after the result and row values."

i still dont understand ive watched videos and they do exactly the same thing i did and it works.

videos can be old and outdated. Follow the instructions for where to put the new line character. It says where to put it here: “Use a second addition operator to append a new line after the result and row values.”

ohhhh my goodness !!! thank you so much
