Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 49

Tell us what’s happening:

I have been trying to figure this out for a few minutes now. I’m trying not to over think this and I have looked at the strings I have written from previous steps, but I am not sure where the mistake is. the result of padRow is to be call, but every time I have written it in the multitude of ways its not correct.

Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

function padRow() {

}

// User Editable Region

padRow("");
const call;
let result = ""
;
for( const padRow = call){ }

// User Editable Region

for (let i = 0; i < count; i = i + 1) {
  rows.push(character.repeat(i + 1))
}

let result = ""

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + "\n" + row;
}

console.log(result);

hi there. I think you are overthinking a lot, though you said you are trying not to. maybe take a break, reset the lesson, read the instructions calmly and try again. sometimes that is also important when coding.

I think I am going to do that. Many thanks :smiley:

A quick review:

#call a function type the name of the function
#followed by parentheses
function();

#to assign a variable
const variable = 5;

#to call a function and assign the result to a variable, combine
#those two lines:
const variable = function();
