Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 58

Tell us what’s happening:

I can’t figure out how to declare the test variable using const. I’ve checked W3 and MDN web docs and I’ve tried everything. Can someone tell what I’m doing wrong or not doing. Thanks

Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

// User Editable Region

function padRow(name) {
  const test("Testing")
  return character + name;
}
console.log(test);

// User Editable Region

const call = padRow("CamperChan");
console.log(call);

for (let i = 0; i < count; i = i + 1) {
  rows.push(character.repeat(i + 1))
}

let result = ""

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + "\n" + row;
}

console.log(result);

Hi there!

You have declared a function name test with a string Testing as an argument using const keyword. Actually you need to declare a variable name test and assign it the string called Testing.

In the above three lines, in previous challenge steps you learned that how to declare a variable and assign it a value.

Thank you. I finally figured out where to declare the variable.
