Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

// User Editable Region

function padRow(rowNumber, rowCount) {
  return str.repeat(rowCount,rowNumber) + character.repeat(rowNumber) + str.repeat(rowCount, rowNumber);
}

// User Editable Region

for (let i = 0; i < count; i = i + 1) {
  rows.push(padRow(i + 1, count));
}

let result = ""

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + "\n" + row;
}

Someone please help me resolve this problem

You have to call repeat on the two empty strings in the starting code.

return " " + character.repeat(rowNumber) + " ";

You are adding spaces to each side of the character symbol

"^".repeat(3) + "Ø" + "^".repeat(3)
// ^^^Ø^^^

Welcome back to the forum. You replaced your actual empty strings " " with str.
