Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 63

return " "+character.repeat(rowNumber)+ " " ;

Is this working now?

nope it is not it says this i have refreshed
Sorry, your code does not pass. Don’t give up.

You should concatenate an empty space to the beginning of your returned value.

Send me your complete code.

You can’t have an “empty space” in this context. Its either a space or its empty.

const character = "#";

const count = 8;

const rows = [];

function padRow(rowNumber, rowCount) {

return " "+character.repeat(rowNumber)+ " " ;

Where is the closed curly braces? Have you added it }

yes now i think that was the issue

Is this working now?

yes it is now but i am confused on this bit Empty spaces have been replaced with interpuncts, or middle dots, for readability. If you extrapolate the pattern, you can see that the spaces at the beginning and end of a row follow a pattern.

Update your blank space strings to be repeated rowCount - rowNumber times.

If this is for the next Step, please open a topic for that Step

It is saying that you have to repeat the both the strings with space " " which you have added previously in the return statement. It should be repeated rowCount - rowNumber times. Means you have to use a repeat() method on those strings and pass rowCount - rowNumber as argument in it.
