Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 91

Tell us what’s happening:

hello, i need help as i tried searching the forum for help and came across the same issue which is the line if (done !==count)

Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

function padRow(rowNumber, rowCount) {
  return " ".repeat(rowCount - rowNumber) + character.repeat(2 * rowNumber - 1) + " ".repeat(rowCount - rowNumber);
}

// TODO: use a different type of loop
/*for (let i = 1; i <= count; i++) {
  rows.push(padRow(i, count));
}*/

let continueLoop = false;
let done = 0;

// User Editable Region

while (continueLoop) {
  done++;
  rows.push(padRow(done, count));
  if (done !== count) {
    continueLoop = false;
  }
}

// User Editable Region

let result = ""

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + row + "\n";
}

console.log(result);

Hi @fateyhabegum

Update your while loop condition to check if done is not equal to count .

Your code updated the if condition.
For this step you need to update the while condition.

Happy coding

could you please explain why ?

At the moment the condition of the loop is set to false, so the while loop will never execute.

The done variable starts at 0

When done and count both obtain the same values the while loop stops executing.
