Learn Introductory JavaScript by Building a Pyramid Generator - Step 98

Tell us what’s happening:

i dont understand what they are asking me to do exactly. they are saying to pass 5 as the argument and then they say to assign the value of .unshift to unshifted variable. i am stuck and need help.

Your code so far

const character = "#";
const count = 8;
const rows = [];

function padRow(rowNumber, rowCount) {
  return " ".repeat(rowCount - rowNumber) + character.repeat(2 * rowNumber - 1) + " ".repeat(rowCount - rowNumber);
}

// TODO: use a different type of loop
/*for (let i = 1; i <= count; i++) {
  rows.push(padRow(i, count));
}*/

/*while (rows.length < count) {
  rows.push(padRow(rows.length + 1, count));
}*/

/*for (let i = count; i > 0; i--) {
  rows.push(padRow(i, count));
}*/
const unshifted = 5;

// User Editable Region

const numbers = [1, 2,3 ];
numbers.unshift(5);
numbers.unshift(5) = unshifted;
console.log(numbers);
console.log(unshifted);

// User Editable Region

let result = ""

for (const row of rows) {
  result = result + "\n" + row;
}

console.log(result);

Hey there!
Left-hand side assignment is wrong. Need to assign numbers.unshift(5) to the variable unshifted. Currently you have your variable on wrong side. And don’t forget to use const with variable name.
