Learn Lambda Functions by Building an Expense Tracker - Step 11

Tell us what’s happening

As instructed, I wrote test = lambda x : x * 2.

However, the same error keeps coming up: “You should have test = lambda x: x * 2 in your code.”

I do have that line in my code. What’s the real error?

Your code so far

def add_expense(expenses, amount, category):
    expenses.append({'amount': amount, 'category': category})

def print_expenses(expenses):
    for expense in expenses:
        print(f'Amount: {expense["amount"]}, Category: {expense["category"]}')

/* User Editable Region */

def total_expenses(expenses):
    test = lambda x : x * 2

/* User Editable Region */

expenses = []

Learn Lambda Functions by Building an Expense Tracker - Step 11

Hello! @lmoh3479

In step-10 we have to define a function “total_expenses” and have to use the pass keyword inside it 's body. The test = lambda x: x*2 is not inside the body of the “total_expenses” function.

Hope this helps! Happy Coding :slight_smile:

That was so helpful! Thank you very much. @Jyothsna13
