I have no idea what im doing wrong here, im returning the function, i added sum.

my code;
def total_expenses(expenses):
return sum(map(lambda expense: expense[‘amount’], expenses))

Why is this not passing?

    expenses.append({'amount': amount, 'category': category})

def print_expenses(expenses):
    for expense in expenses:
        print(f'Amount: {expense["amount"]}, Category: {expense["category"]}')

Welcome to the forum @avothecoder

Please remove the return statement and the sum, as the instructions did not ask you to do that.

Happy coding
