This is my code and I dont know whats wrong with it
const dataArrIndex = taskData.findIndex((item) => item.id === buttonEl.parentElement.id);
taskData[dataArrIndex] = currentTask;

Then, assign it to the currentTask object to keep track of it.

You are not assigning anything to currentTask, you are assigning currentTask to something
