Learn localStorage by Building a Todo App - Step 67

Tell us what’s happening:

This is step 67 of learning localStorage by Building a Todo App
I am not exactly sure what the hint means by saying “your removeSpecialChars should remove single quotes.” I tried the replace method. Here is my code:

Your code so far

<!-- file: index.html -->

/* file: script.js */
// User Editable Region

const removeSpecialChars = () =>
{

}

// User Editable Region
/* file: styles.css */

Welcome to the forum @acnewton0716

Your removeSpecialChars should remove single quotes.

You have the function body, however it does nothing.
You need to add the functionality.

Happy coding

I appreciate your help, but what I am strugglibg with is what the functionality is. I have researched similar projecfs, and have been unable to find answer to this problem

your function needs to return the given string but without special characters (which is pretty much anything that is not a letter, space or number)

Hi there and welcome to the forum!

It is great that you solved the challenge, but instead of posting your full working solution, it is best to stay focused on answering the original poster’s question(s) and help guide them with hints and suggestions to solve their own issues with the challenge. How to Help Someone with Their Code Using the Socratic Method

We are trying to cut back on the number of spoiler solutions found on the forum and instead focus on helping other campers with their questions and definitely not posting full working solutions.

Thanks.

hello there
thank you for telling me
I found a huge flaw in these curriculums . every time you get stuck at a step you can easily go back to the curriculum, open the step after the step you got stuck at, read the code and comeback . I’ve never abused this flaw but it’s an imperfection that needs to be fixed.
I’m not sure who to report this problem to . . .

that’s not a flaw, people can always go anywhere in the curriculum they want
