Hello dheeraj,

The logic of your new code is correct, but it looks like you removed some of the variables that were already there? text and shift seem to be gone from your code.

text = ‘Hello World’
shift = 3
alphabet = ‘abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz’
find=alphabet.find(text[0])
print(find)
