Hi there, I got to step 13 of this challenge and currently stuck here as I assigned ‘c’ to variable ‘index’. Then I proceeded to print this variable but it does not seem like this is what the challenge is asking for. Any further clarity or instruction would be much appreciated!

Your code so far

/* User Editable Region */

text = 'Hello World'
shift = 3
alphabet = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz'
alphabet.find(text[0])
index = 'c'
print(index)

/* User Editable Region */

Now assign the value returned by alphabet.find(text[0]) to a variable named index .

you are not assigning the required value to index

Thank you. I think I wasn’t the cleared from reading the instruction. I passed the function and its argument to the variable and was able to move on the next challenge.

What is the required value?

The Ask for Help button will create a new topic with all code you have written and include a link to the challenge also. You will still be able to ask any questions in the post before submitting it to the forum.
