Learn String Manipulation by Building a Cipher - Step 28

Tell us what’s happening:

How to solve this?

Your code so far

/* User Editable Region */

text = 'Hello World'
text2 ="Albatros"

/* User Editable Region */

shift = 3
alphabet = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz'

for char in text.lower():
    index = alphabet.find(char)
    print(char, index)
    new_index = index + shift

Learn String Manipulation by Building a Cipher - Step 28

Hi there and welcome to our community!

You should be reassigning the variable text to a new string, ‘Albatross’.
It shouldn’t be text2, and you should check the spelling of ‘Albatross’.

Morning @ocinpriatna ,

So it’s asking you to:

Go back to the original string by deleting the text reassignment

I think this is essentially saying to delete the text you reassigned in Step 28 so you’re left with the original string.
