I’ve tried various ways but it didn’t work! Could you tell me why I’m wrong and provide the correct answer. Thanks for your help!
new_index = alphabet [index + shift] or new_index = (index+shift)
at the end or before print didn’t work.

You don’t to include the parentheses when assigning the value of your new_index variable. Remove them and your code should pass.
