At the end of your loop body, declare a variable called new_index

also be really careful! there is an extra space after the colon here, and that can make the tests not work (it’s a bug that is being worked on)

Ok, the real issue is that space after the colon

text = 'Hello World'
shift = 3
alphabet = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz'
for new_index in text.lower():
    index = alphabet.find(new_index)
    print(char, index)

like this?, i don’t know about placement value.

you were much near earlier, you have changed the loop definition, please restore the char variable there, and the creation of new_index has disappeared. So maybe you need to reset the step

you still have the space after the colon!

I have indicated it with an arrow, you should delete that space

ok thankyou, i’il try to this.
