Learn String Manipulation by Building a Cipher - Step 38

code looks correct, but keeps telling me I should turn my print() call into print('char:', char, 'encrypted text:', encrypted_text) inside my for loop.
even though I have already done that. What should I do?

Your code so far

# User Editable Region

text = 'Hello World'
shift = 3
alphabet = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz'
encrypted_text = ''

for char in text.lower():
    index = alphabet.find(char)
    new_index = index + shift
    encrypted_text = alphabet[new_index]
    print('char:', char, 'encrypted_text:', encrypted_text)

Hi and welcome,

The last line in your for loop should say ‘encrypted text:’ without an underscore the first time.

This is kind of confusing and hard to notice but oh well.
