Learn String Manipulation by Building a Cipher - Step 40

Tell us what’s happening:

I have tried multiple times to get my code to pass. Here it is. What is wrong here?

text = ‘Hello World’
shift = 3
alphabet = ‘abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz’
encrypted_text = ‘’

for char in text.lower():
print(char == (’ '))
index = alphabet.find(char)
new_index = index + shift
encrypted_text += alphabet[new_index]
print(‘char:’, char, ‘encrypted text:’, encrypted_text)

Thank you, I really need this right now.
