hi there, wanna know what i’m doing wrong?

the instruction is as follows: Now, instead of printing 'space!' , use the addition assignment operator to add the space (currently stored in char ) to the current value of encrypted_text .

you need to add char to encrypted_text, you are doing the opposite

Sorry, but I don’t understand what this means. I’m stuck on the same answer.

You said they’re doing the opposite. Does that mean change line 4 to encrypted_text += char?

Yes exactly, adding it to the end of the string.
