I tried to run this code it says : you should print ‘plain text:’, text after for loop, Which I did. What is wrong in my code?

Your code so far

# User Editable Region

text = 'Hello Zaira'
shift = 3
alphabet = 'abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz'
encrypted_text = ''

for char in text.lower():
    if char == ' ':
        encrypted_text += char
    else:
        index = alphabet.find(char)
        new_index = (index + shift) % len(alphabet)
        encrypted_text += alphabet[new_index]
print('plain text: ', text)

print('encrypted text:', encrypted_text)

Hi @sazid1 and welcome to our community!

You don’t need to include a space after the colon below. The print call will insert one automatically for you, when printing comma-separated terms.
