here are the instruction
All you need to do is multiply the `offset` by the `direction` in the `new_index` assignment. The multiplication operator in Python is `*` .

i have tried the below code
new_index = offset * direction
new_index = (index + (offset * direction))%len(alphabet)

You’re almost there!

but in order to pass the step remove the braces from this…`(offset * direction)`
